FUNDAMENTALS


We understand that starting any new fitness routine can be overwhelming and somewhat intimidating. The goal of the Fundamentals Program is to eliminate your fears, introduce you to the CrossFit methodology, and have some fun – all while getting fitter. We will teach you how to move safely and efficiently through the most common movements you will encounter in our general CrossFit classes.
CROSSFIT CLASS

This is a 1-hour class comprised of a group warm-up followed by skill or strength training programmed in advance with total body fitness in mind. Emphasis is on building strength, increasing mobility and flexibility and learning proper safety techniques while working out. Each day is different and helps our Athletes become well-rounded.
CROSSFIT KIDS • AGES 5-10

The CrossFit Kids class is designed for the younger athlete who can follow directions and stay focused for the duration of the class (ages 5-10). This class will introduce kids to some of the foundation movements of CrossFit in a fun, positive environment. They will not only learn some of the movements like squats, presses, and burpees, they will also learn a about the importance of activity and nutrition. In this class they will use little to no weight. The weight they would use as they progress would be light medicine balls, light kettlebells or 5 lb plates. This is only used when the child has shown that they can do the movement properly. At this time classes will be held outside at Philomath City Park with physical distancing a priority.
YOGA

A practice of posture, breathing, and relaxation. Movements are synchronized with breath as yoga postures flow from one to the next. This all levels class moves as a flowing practice. Classes are paired with CrossFit programming and may include inversions and arm balances along with sun salutes, standing poses, back bends and forward bends.
